CommunityAmerica Opens Two Branch Locations
New Prairie Village and Independence Hy-Vee branches offer convenience
Lenexa, Kan. ( 01/13/2006) -- CommunityAmerica Credit Union will open two new full-service branch locations on Jan. 21, continuing the credit union's commitment to improving member service.
One branch will be located in the Prairie Village, Kan., Hy-Vee store at 7620 State Line Road. The other will be located in the Independence, Mo., Hy-Vee at 1525 E. 23rd St.
"Member-owned CommunityAmerica has an established relationship with employee-owned Hy-Vee," said Sean Yokley, vice president of corporate affairs for CommunityAmerica. "The companies share a culture of member/employee ownership that creates unique advantages and opportunities for members and their families."
Yokley noted that CommunityAmerica, due to its relationship with Hy-Vee, already operates branches at stores in Liberty, Mo.; on Noland Road in Independence, Mo., and on Englewood Road in Kansas City, North. All are full-service branch locations open seven days a week for CommunityAmerica members' convenience.
Grand opening celebrations will be held in February at the Prairie Village and Independence branch locations, which formerly were occupied by branches of Midwest Heritage Bank, a Chariton, Iowa-based banking company owned by Hy-Vee.
Rudy Hall, who was named manager of the new Prairie Village branch, said: "The CommunityAmerica Credit Union relationship with Hy-Vee offers unique advantages to time-starved members. As a member-owned financial institution, this is just one way that we strive to meet our members' needs and desire for service and convenience."
Michelle Wood, who was named manager of the Independence branch, said: "Providing a fifth CommunityAmerica branch in Hy-Vee stores provides additional benefit to members who appreciate extended business hours and the convenience of conducting personal financial transactions -- such as purchasing certificates of deposit or making loan payments or checking deposits -- where they shop."
In-store branches are open Monday through Friday from 9 a .m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
