CommunityAmerica Names Three to Board Positions
Douglas, Fenley and Domke provide business and finance leadership
Lenexa, KS ( 06/22/2007) -- CommunityAmerica Credit Union has added two new members to its board of directors and one new member to its Supervisory Committee.
Joining the board of the $1.5 billion financial institution are Bradley D. Douglas of Leawood, Kan., and Mick P. Fenley of Overland Park, Kansas. New to the Supervisory Committee is Kerry Domke of Lenexa, Kansas.
"These three individuals bring a wealth of leadership experience in finance, business development and philanthropy to our board," said Allison Waggoner, chairman of the board. "They will play an important role in the ongoing growth of CommunityAmerica Credit Union and in its capabilities to serve our membership."
Dennis E. Pierce, CommunityAmerica's chief executive officer, said, "Our new board members have deep roots in our community and an excellent understanding of the unique role that credit unions play in delivering superior financial services to our members. Those qualities will allow them to make strong contributions to the credit union."
Domke is vice president and assistant treasurer for Butler Construction Co. Inc., Kansas City, Mo. His credit union experience includes a term as president of the McPherson Co-Op Credit Union in McPherson, Kan., a multi-million-dollar employee credit union. He has served as a loaned executive to the Heart of America United Way and is currently a United Way Community Care committee volunteer. He is also a longtime member of the Board of Elders of Grace Lutheran Church and has a business degree from Emporia State University.
Douglas is a licensed attorney and director of business development for Opus Communications, Mission, Kan. His previous work experience includes positions as senior vice president of development for the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and regional administrator for Region VII (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska) for the U.S. Small Business Administration. He is a board member of the Arts Council of Johnson County, Kan., and is a concert-level pianist. He has a bachelor's degree from William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo., and a law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law.
Fenley is a director in the department of pricing and yield management for YRC Worldwide Inc., Overland Park, Kan. His previous work experience includes positions with Ernst & Young Cash Management and several large banks, including Bank of New York and Mellon Bank. He supports the United Way, the American Heartwalk and Children's Mercy Hospital. He has bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Also serving on the board and supervisory committee are Bruce Brower, Colleen Browne, Jerry Coe, Dave Drollinger, Phil Gaines, Terri Martin, Brad Miller, Allison Waggoner, David Farr and Glenn Hamilton. Emeritus board members are Walter Baughman, Ralph Moore, Bill Numrich, Dan Scott and Marty Zygmund.
